Barnie poses by the sign pointing us to the first dune, after climbing what seemed like a dune to us. Why have we stopped? LeeAnn looks back after reaching the top of Mt. Jackson, the first of the three challenge dunes. We had to wait for a small field trip of students to clear away from the Mt. Jackson sign. I passed the time by taking photos, like this one of a tree bud blooming. Lake Michigan can seen from near the top of Mt. Holden, the second challenge dune. LeeAnn makes the final push to the summit of Mt. Holden. A Londoner joined us in our picture with the Mt. Holden sign. LeeAnn negotiates the decent from Mt. Holden. She'll soon part ways with us and head back to the nature center on a bail-out trail. Barnie and I take in the staircase leading up to the final dune. Barnie and I pose on top of Mt. Tom, challenge completed. We're headed back to the campground. Barnie's energized; I'm quite exhausted. When we got back to the camper, Barnie went straight to bed.
